Sandi Scannelli

President/CEO

Sandi Scannelli was appointed in 2018 as the first President & CEO of the Clemmons Community Foundation. She joined the Foundation with more than eight years of community foundation experience, having served as President & CEO for community foundations in both Virginia and Florida. She received numerous civic awards and recognition for her community focus, solutions implemented to emerging challenges, and leadership. Sandi earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mary Baldwin University, with a concentration in Business. In her free time, she enjoys walking, cooking, and cultural activities with friends and neighbors.

C. Mark Batten

Program Officer

Mark brings to the Foundation his experience in higher education over the last decade having served in multiple leadership roles in admissions, communications, and student services. Raised on a farm in a small rural town in Eastern North Carolina, Mark witnessed the value of relationships in personal and community well-being. His experience has included working in partnership with groups and individuals to accomplish shared goals. As an alumnus of Wake Forest University’s Leadership Development Program, Mark has mentored young leaders who plan to work in the non-profit sector. He is a member of the inaugural class of Leadership Lewisville-Clemmons, and holds a B.A. from Campbell University and M.Div. from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Mark resides in Clemmons with his wife, Amanda, and two daughters. Outside of the Foundation you can find him paddling rivers, at the barn with their family horse, Luna, and enjoying the arts.

Aaron Hunter

Aaron Hunter

Accountant (p/t)

‍Aaron Hunter started with the foundation working on a temporary project and enjoyed the foundation and its work so much that he accepted the offer to continue as part-time accountant. Aaron was raised in Winston-Salem and earned his B.S. in Accounting from Appalachian State University. Aaron is working toward his CPA license. He also works full time with Jared Johnson, CPA. Aaron has volunteered with Camp Hope, serves as Assistant Scout Master of a Boy Scout Troop and is an Eagle Scout having earned the highest achievement in scouting.
