C. Mark Batten
Mark brings to the Foundation his experience in higher education over the last decade having served in multiple leadership roles in admissions, communications, and student services. Raised on a farm in a small rural town in Eastern North Carolina, Mark witnessed the value of relationships in personal and community well-being. His experience has included working in partnership with groups and individuals to accomplish shared goals. As an alumnus of Wake Forest University’s Leadership Development Program, Mark has mentored young leaders who plan to work in the non-profit sector. He is a member of the inaugural class of Leadership Lewisville-Clemmons, and holds a B.A. from Campbell University and M.Div. from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Mark resides in Clemmons with his wife, Amanda, and two daughters. Outside of the Foundation you can find him paddling rivers, at the barn with their family horse, Luna, and enjoying the arts.
