Community Remote Learning Support Sites

This is a list of options for families in need of childcare and supervised remote learning support in the Clemmons and Lewisville area. Families should conduct their own research and due diligence about each site, especially as the school system navigates re-entry plans. The Clemmons Community Foundation does not specifically endorse any site.

Note: Many sites are able to offer financial assistance for families.

Connect provides a space for youth, one day a week for High School and one day a week for Middle School.  It will be a haven for youth who are craving social engagement with peers during this time of social isolation and anxiety.

The Learning Loft

Student will receive supervised learning space, one on one check in each session to plan, organize and discuss progress (accountability partner), and weekly communication to parents.

To minimize exposure risks, students will be in same cohort of 4-6 individuals.

One-on-one tutoring can be scheduled separately (for additional fee) in Math middle grades through high school Math 3. Other subjects we will try to match a private tutor if needed.

Cost:

$200 each month for a 3-hour session each week. Discount available for multiple sessions.

Remote Learning Camp provides learning coaching, recreation, and proper socially distanced socialization in a positive environment led by experienced staff.

5 Days a Week for Full 9 Weeks: $299/week ($249 for siblings). Families choosing this option will receive a $300 discount per student, reflected at the end of the program if they register before Friday, August 14 at 12:00 p.m.

5 Days a Week for Select Weeks: $299/week ($249 for siblings). Families must request specific weeks in advance so Merriwood can ensure adequate staffing.

3 Days a Week (preferably Monday, Wednesday, and Friday unless otherwise arranged with MCC): $195/week ($175 for siblings)

2 Days a Week (preferably Tuesday and Thursday unless otherwise arranged with MCC): $138/week ($123 for siblings)

Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church High School Hotspot

High School Hotspot is a ministry providing free WiFi, space, and snacks for high school students enrolled in virtual learning. Safety protocols and standards of conduct followed. Students must register for each day they’d like to use the High School Hotspot. Students must print the covenant and bring it with them on their first visit.
